Meet the Support Services team

Support Services provide central support to the homes and our team members, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Admin and HR

Tanya Hutchings

Senior Administrator

Tanya joined WCS Care in 2018, supporting the marketing team on a work experience place for her degree, before becoming a permanent member of the Support Services administration team in 2020.

Tanya provides support to all of WCS's care homes, the Support Services Team and Board of Trustees. She believes passionately that people who live in care homes should be able to continue to live a life that is fulfilling, purposeful, full of joy and love.

Yasmin Kinderman

Administrator

Yasmin began her journey with WCS Care in 2017 as a carer at Drovers House in Rugby. She then transitioned into the role of Administrator, gaining valuable experience working at Drovers House and Attleborough Grange, and joined our Support Services team in September 2024.

While Yasmin’s role has shifted from frontline care to administration, her passion for caring for people remains at the heart of everything she does. She values the personal connections she’s made with residents and now draws on her care home knowledge to support our care homes, the Support Services team and Board of Trustees.

Tracey Ireland

HR Co-ordinator

Tracey joined WCS Care in 2020, supporting our Head of People and Support Services with recruitment in a contract role before joining the team on a permanent basis as HR Co-ordinator. 

Tracey has worked in HR for over a decade, previously working in the education sector at a university for 10 years, before expanding her skillset at WCS. 

Alis Hancox

People Co-ordinator

Alis has built a career at WCS Care, starting work as a carer in 2013 and then undertaking other care roles, whilst studying for A levels and then a degree. Alis enjoys supporting people and used her experiences of the people that work in care, to write the dissertation for her degree in sociology. 

In her current role Alis provides support to the HR team; managing our mobile carers. She's passionate about being a partner for staff, helping them with what they need to be the best version of themselves.

Samantha Stuart

Samantha Stuart

Service Manager

Sam's worked at WCS Care since 2017, developing her experience in care home management, before opening our internationally recognised care home, Woodside Care Village, in 2019 as General Manager.

Sam loves helping to create care homes for future mums and dads that are full of fun, laughter and love; creating a care home community where residents and staff can be themselves.

Pearl Mackey

Service Manager

Pearl is the Service Manager for our village homes, supporting the management teams at Castle Brook, Drovers House and Woodside Care Village.

Pearl started her career as a carer at Woodside in Warwick in 1989, and progressed through senior roles before moving into her current role. She's passionate about not just managing a care team but about championing an environment where residents are consistently at the centre of compassionate and respectful care.

Natalie Sims

Natalie Sims

Service Manager

Natalie has worked for WCS Care since 2005 progressing from frontline care and housekeeping to Home Manager and Support Manager.

As Service Manager, Natalie is responsible for supporting our residential homes in Rugby, Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon-Avon. She believes she ‘didn’t choose to work in care, it chose her.’ Her mission is to help people choose care, both as a profession and positive life choice. She’s incredibly proud to have grown within WCS.

Anna Read

Anna Read

Quality Manager

Anna is our Quality Manager, with responsibility for setting, reviewing and updating standards across all of our homes. Anna is a nurse by background, and joined WCS Care over 20 years ago progressing from working night shifts to being home manager of one of our younger adult homes.

She wants to use her knowledge and experience to cultivate and support the growth of current and future managers at WCS, ensuring a positive experience for both residents and staff.

Rachel Guest

Support Manager

Having previously been Home Manager at Sycamores, Rachel moved to the role of Support Manager for our village homes in 2023. Her career at WCS spans over 20 years during which Rachel has worked in seven of our homes.

Growing up as the middle child of five in a close-knit family, Rachel has always been a people person. Her natural ability to connect with others led her to roles that let her spend time with people. After work experience in a nursing home at 15, she knew caring was her calling. Rachel brings her love for family and people to work every day.

Trish Hanlon

Trish Hanlon

Support Manager

Trish has worked at WCS Care since 2007, starting as a carer and progressing into management, working in four of our homes, most recently as the Home Manager at Dewar Close in Bilton. In 2020 Trish moved into her current role of Support Manager for our 10 residential homes.

If you were to ask Trish what gets her out of bed in the morning, she’d tell you that it’s the people she gets to talk to every day; that making a difference to someone through a simple interaction is incredibly powerful – not just for them, but for her too. She’s passionate about supporting members of our team to develop, and takes a lot of pleasure in seeing her colleagues improve their skills and understanding so they can deliver the best care possible.

Sherie Tyler

Social Activities Manager

Sherie is our Social Activities Manager, overseeing our team of Lifestyle Coaches and Community Musicians, and the activities we deliver in the homes which focus on the emotional and physical wellbeing of the people who live with us.

Sherie’s passionate about keeping busy and is a keen baker. She brings this energy to work where she wants to encourage a whole home approach, especially for activities, so residents and staff have a creative, lively and engaging atmosphere.

Facilities and IT

Pete Wilkes

Head of Facilities Management

Pete joined WCS in 2020 bringing years of experience in facilities and maintenance management to the group. He's responsible for general maintenance and safety of our care home facilities and premises, as well as our refurbishment programme.

Pete finds fulfilment in enhancing the quality of our facilities and accommodation, creating surroundings where people who live and work can flourish.

Adam Barton

Assistant Facilities Manager

Adam joined WCS Care in 2022 and supports with the general maintenance and safety of our care home facilities and premises.

Adam has worked in the air conditioning, heating and ventilation sector as a mobile engineer for 17 years – spending many of those years working in care homes and retirement villages. After leaving the sector in 2021, Adam worked in schools across Birmingham and Warwick as a Site Manager and most recently a Facilities Manager.

Trudi Harrow-Hall

Head of ICT

Bringing over 20 years' experience with her, Trudi joined WCS Care in 2017 to lead on the maintenance and improvement of our IT and related systems, including telephony, nurse-call, acoustics, and door entry systems.

A problem solver at heart, Trudi enjoys helping people to work more effectively and solve problems through the use of resilient technology and systems.

Ade Martin

ICT Support Engineer

With a background in education, Ade has previously worked for IBM and the Royal Air Force. He has over 30 years of experience and brings a wealth of knowledge to support our team.

Ade understands the frustration that comes from IT problems and is keen to not only resolve issues for the team but also facilitate learning to upskill people along the way.

Finance

Galina Rice

Galina Rice

Financial Controller

Galina is an experienced Accountant and Financial Controller with over 20 years’ experience working in both practice and industry. For the last 7 years, she has worked in the care sector, including older person's residential care and children with autism.

Galina's aim is to make finance accessible for non-finance colleagues, by providing training and support to ensure that everyone understands what they need to do.

Tony Brooks

Management Accountant

Tony is a CIMA qualified Accountant who joined WCS in 2018. He has over 30 years of experience in financial roles in the housing, leisure, engineering and not-for-profit sectors.

Tony enjoys devising new, interesting ways to communicate financial information to non-financial people, empowering them to become well-informed managers. He believes that effective communication of financial data is not only about accuracy, but also about fostering a culture of informed decision-making and improved service delivery. He is the ‘go to’ person for all spreadsheet queries!

Deb Linnecor

Debra Linnecor

Payroll Manager

Deb maintains the payroll and issuing of contracts for all WCS Care team members. She has over 30 years' experience in payroll, almost 20 of them at National Express, where she was responsible for paying 7,500 employees.

She believes that reliable and punctual pay is not just a transaction but a crucial element in valuing and supporting the dedicated individuals who contribute to WCS’s success.

Jean Edwards

Jean Edwards

Senior Finance Assistant

Jean has over 30 years of experience in a number of financial roles and joined WCS Care in January 2016.

With experience in purchase and sales ledgers, credit control, accounting and providing management information, Jean is responsible for a number of financial processes from invoices to banking. She believes that accurate and timely financial information empowers her colleagues, enabling them to make informed decisions that ultimately enhance the financial health and efficiency of the homes.

Donna Finnegan-Chong

Credit Controller

Donna has over 30 years of finance experience and joined WCS Care in 2021 as Credit Controller. She's responsible for making sure we get paid. She has to understand all of our occupancy processes and how care is paid for to support colleague and families.

Donna believes that providing sound financial information to our homes, residents and families helps them to navigate the often tricky world of care funding, including the transition between self funding and social care funding.

Laura Worsley

Finance Assistant

Laura is our Finance Assistant, responsible for managing supplier invoices and supporting the wider Finance Team.

Starting with WCS Care as an Enabler at Newlands in Kenilworth in 2000, Laura has worked in a variety of roles including Senior Enabler, Housekeeper and PA/Office Administrator before joining the Finance Team in Support Services in 2016.

Sue Johnson

Payroll and Finance Assistant

Sue joined WCS in 2023 to support the Finance Team with payroll reports, contracts and references.

Sue has worked in finance and payroll for many years in different industries, most recently working for a company of accounts and business consultants based in Warwickshire. 

She loves being part of an organisation where you can feel the care and wants to enhance the collective effectiveness of the organisation by establishing efficient processes.

Learning and Development

Sarah Bedding

Head of Learning and Development

Sarah joined WCS Care in 2019 and is responsible for the charity's Learning and Development programme for staff. 

Sarah started her career in health and social care in 1992 and has worked with organisations ranging from residential care to housing and support for people living with mental health needs. Her specialisms include project management, staff wellbeing, vocational qualifications, course development and training delivery.

Sarah is a learner and teacher at heart and gets personal satisfaction from guiding and developing others to be the best they can be, so they can deliver high-quality care and progress in their careers.

Mo Rose

Learning and Development Partner

Mo supports our team members with their learning and development, delivering training and supporting people to complete their qualifications. She previously worked in our Nuneaton homes in a relief care and training capacity, as well as with other providers specialising in dementia care. 

Mo previously worked with Nuneaton Training Centre, and North Warwickshire and Hinckley College delivering health and social care training programmes to the care sector.

Marketing

Jennie Evans

Jennie Evans

Head of Communications and Marketing

Jennie joined WCS Care in 2022 and leads on internal and external communication, in particular as editor of our newsletter.

She has always been fascinated by advertising and how companies use creativity to get their messages across. This translated into a career in marketing and communications, and a pull towards the not-for-profit sector; finding it most rewarding to work for organisations who support people. Jennie is focused on using her skills to help raise awareness of what WCS does.

Omari Abasi

Omari Abasi

Marketing Co-ordinator

Omari joined WCS Care as a Marketing Co-ordinator in July 2021, bringing his marketing knowledge and experience in the residential homes sector with him. 

He supports the Director of Marketing and Head of Communications as well as the wider WCS teams across all marketing, communications and sales work, in particular taking a lead on social media content, internal design work, photography and recruitment advertising.

Omari likes nothing more than creating and sharing effective designs and content that connects with people.

Philip Rainsford

Trusted Advisor

With over 40 years' experience of working in health and social care, Philip joined WCS Care in 2019 in a managerial support role at Castle Brook in Kenilworth, before becoming our Trusted Advisor for the village homes in 2020, giving customers the time and support they need to make a decision that's right for them when choosing a care home.

Philip enjoys using his experience to help families find the right solution to a problem they are probably facing for the first time, changing perceptions of life in a care home as he does.

Josephine Rugg

Josephine Rugg

Trusted Advisor

Josephine joined WCS Care as a Service Manager in 2018, overseeing five of our residential homes.

In her current role of Trusted Advisor, she enjoys making a real difference by helping people choose and settle into a care home.

Josephine values family in both her personal and working life. She wants to create meaningful connections, ensuring that each person feels genuinely valued, heard, and leaves the conversation with the assurance that their interaction matters.
