Reindeer land in Kenilworth for a flying visit to Castle Brook

Phyllis enjoys welcoming reindeer Mistletoe and George to her Kenilworth home

Residents at Castle Brook welcomed two reindeer to their Kenilworth home for a flying visit in the run up to Christmas.

Mistletoe and George, from the Phoenix Children’s Foundation in Leicestershire, were invited along with their handler on Thursday 21 December 2017, as part of a busy month of celebrations.

Run by Warwickshire-based charity WCS Care, Castle Brook is home to up to 84 older people and includes a mini mart, deluxe cinema, hair salon, relaxing spa, café, and traditional, coin-operated, fully-staffed launderette.

Anna Read, Service Manager at WCS Care, said: ‘People living at Castle Brook were delighted to invite Mistletoe and George to join in with the festivities in the run up to Christmas.

You could see that residents, their friends, and family loved meeting these amazing animals. It’s a great way to experience something they may not otherwise have had the opportunity to do – and it was the perfect way to countdown to the big day.’
