Fairfield is a care home providing long-term residential, and respite, care for older people and people living with dementia. 

The home has three separate households, each with its own lounge, dining area and kitchenette. The households are designed in one of three lifestyles based on town, country and classical living. Hobbies, interests and local information are represented in the hallway decorations. This is because the space in-between places creates more opportunities for conversation and reminiscence.

There's also a beauty salon offering unisex hairdressing and manicures and a quiet room for crafts or family celebrations.

Daily life centres around the living areas where residents get together and socialise with other residents, friends and family. You’ll find our regular exercise classes or activities happening here. Or we might be outside, using the patio or rear garden which has a dedicated cycle path for our side-by-side bike. 

As part of our activity provision, WCS Care employs dedicated Community Musicians who deliver one-to-one or group music-based activities. And our Memory Maker minibus provides regular, local trips for residents, including those who need to use a wheelchair. We invite relatives to join our trips so families can make new memories together.

WCS Care offers the Relatives’ Gateway service for relatives with the necessary consent in place. This is an innovation that picks up most care and activities in real time, creating text from icons selected by staff. Loved ones and staff can also use the gateway to send pictures and messages, keeping everyone up-to-date anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
